About Kick Start
Kick Start's mission is to build fighters round by round. We are a community-driven event series hosted by Strike Studio that blends exciting development bouts with fundraising and local support. It’s designed to give developing Muay Thai athletes a supportive, well-matched ring experience while bringing our wider community together for a meaningful cause.
Giving Back
Each edition of Kick Start raises funds for a carefully chosen charity or community project. Whether you join as a competitor, spectator, vendor, or sponsor, you’re making a direct contribution.
What to Expect
-
Development bouts: Structured, supervised, safety-first matchups to build confidence and experience.
-
Community spirit: Members, families, and friends rallying together to support the day.
-
Fundraising & raffles: Fun ways to contribute to the cause.
-
Local vendors: Showcasing and supporting small businesses.
Why we Created Kick Start
Kick Start was built to complement the interclub scene with a consistent, athlete-first experience. We focus on fair, sensible matchmaking (weight, experience, and readiness), clear rules, and a supportive environment that bridges the step between regular sparring and amateur competition. Our aim is to open the door for developing athletes—at any age—to explore competition safely and confidently, while strengthening connections across gyms and the broader community.
