Jonah

Jonah stepped in for the tie breaker against a familiar opponent, with both fighters one win apiece. He came out strong, dominating the opening round and showing clear improvements in his striking and overall game since their last meeting. As the fight progressed, his opponent found success in the clinch and applied steady pressure to edge ahead on the scorecards. Despite the result, it was another strong performance from Jonah and a clear sign of his continued development

At just 14 years old, Alyshia stepped into the ring for her debut against a taller, more experienced opponent. She showed great composure, applied steady forward pressure, and listened well to the game plan throughout the three rounds. Although she was outscored, Alyshia displayed plenty of heart and determination in her first outing. A strong debut that showed real potential, and we’re excited to see what comes next for her.

STRIKING CONVERSATIONS

THE FIGHTER'S MINDSET SEMINAR

Apr 26

We’re excited to host a special seminar here at Strike Studio with Frankie Dehghan, founder of
The Fighter’s Mindset and The Fight Business Coach.

Frankie has spent more than 23 years in combat sports as a fighter, coach, and gym owner.

He began his journey training and fighting out of Riddlers Gym under Darren Riddler-Reece, later coaching there himself for many years. After building and running his own gym for eight years, Frankie now works with combat sports athletes and gyms around Australia and internationally, helping them develop both their mindset and their business.

Alongside his career in fighting, Frankie also completed a Master’s in Counselling and a breathwork certification, allowing him to combine modern psychology, emotional regulation, and performance coaching with the realities of combat sports. Through The Fighter’s Mindset, Frankie works directly with fighters at all levels,
helping them develop the mental tools needed.

TJ

More about TJ

TJ first discovered Muay Thai about 3 years ago when his friend Liam introduced him to Strike.

It started as a free trial with us, and quickly turned into something much bigger!

When asked about his favourite part of training, TJ spoke about the hard work and discipline that comes with Muay Thai, particularly when competing. He also highlighted the amazing community we have here at Strike, and how much our environment has played a role in his journey.

When it comes to motivation, TJ takes a different approach. He does not rely on staying motivated - he instead focuses on discipline, determination, and showing up regardless of how he feels on the day. For him, the goal is simple, just get to training. Even a small session is a win, because something is always better than nothing.

That mindset is exactly what has allowed TJ to stay consistent and continue progressing over time.

TJ's best advice ever recieved...

"A small session is better than no session at all"
