Kick Start once again proved why it's one of the biggest and most exciting events on the Strike Studio calendar.
The gym was buzzing with energy as members stepped onto the mats, challenged themselves, and supported one another throughout an unforgettable day of Muay Thai.
A huge congratulations to all of our competitors who represented Strike Studio as well as the gyms who also came to participate. A big thank you to our volunteers! We couldn't have done it without you.

This fight, Quang was challenging his opponent for the WMC Super Lightweight State Title, and he was more than ready to make a statement. With both fighters known for their explosivity and knockout power, the stakes couldn't have been higher!
Using a sharp jab (our weekly topic at the time 😉) to control the distance and set up heavy combinations, Quang showcased incredible timing, composure and defence over five hard rounds.
His efforts earned him a unanimous decision victory, claiming the WMC State Title. With Quang's friends, family and supporters screaming their heart out, all of Doncaster heard about his win! 🎉
This was Jack's 4th professional bout. Matched against a tough opponent, Jack fought a smart, composed fight from start to finish. Timing his kicks perfectly, he landed damaging calf and head kicks that steadily broke down his opponent's confidence and controlled the pace of the contest. 🙌
His sharp technique, patience and composure earned him a unanimous decision victory, with his family and the Strike crew cheering him on every step of the way as he claimed another impressive professional win. 🏆

A big thank you to Bianca for coming in and sharing her knowledge with our members
during this month's Striking Conversations seminar!
Bianca, a qualified dietitian, broke down the fundamentals of fuelling for training, recovery and performance. From pre-training meals and hydration to post-session recovery, members walked away with practical tips they can start using straight away.
One of the biggest takeaways was that good nutrition doesn't have to be complicated.
Small, consistent habits can make a huge difference to your energy levels, recovery and long-term performance.

Luca
More About Luca
During the 2020 lockdown, Luca found himself with plenty of spare time and started browsing YouTube, where he stumbled across the world of striking. He first began training at an MMA gym, but after suffering a shoulder dislocation and spending time rehabbing the injury, he realised he wanted to focus purely on striking. Drawn to Muay Thai as the most well-rounded striking art, he was recommended to Strike Studio by his aunty and he's never looked back.
For Luca, the best part of Strike is the incredible community and culture. He loves that there's no ego on the mats, and that every coach brings energy, knowledge and fun to each class. Training has become his favourite form of self-expression and something that allows him to feel free while constantly pushing himself to become the best version of himself. Outside the gym, Luca enjoys calisthenics and language learning, and is currently working towards learning Italian "bellissimo🤌".
Luca's advice for everyone is...
