COACH APPROVAL NEEDED
Advanced is not a class members can simply book into on their own. Entry is by coach approval only. This helps us protect the standard of the class and make sure everyone in the room can train safely and productively.
STRONG FUNDAMENTALS
Members should already have a solid grasp of stance, balance, defence, pad holding, partner awereness, and general class etiquette. Advanced is built for people who can work with intent without needing constant correction on the basics.
MINIMUM PAD HOLDING EXPERIENCE
Members should have completed atleast 10 pad holding classes. This ensures they can safely and effectively work with partners in a faster paced environment.
COMPOSURE UNDER PRESSURE
Advanced is not a class members can simply book into on their own. Entry is by coach approval only. This helps us protect the standard of the class and make sure everyone in the room can train safely and productively.
CONSISTENT ATTITUDE
Skill matters, but attitude matters just as much. Members entering Advanced should be coachable, accountable, switched on, and willing to contribute positively to the room
HOW IT WORKS
The process for joining Advanced Classes
1.
Train consistently
Progression into advanced is earned overtime. We want members stepping into this class beacuse they are genuiley ready, not because they feel rushed inito it.
Show the standard regularly
Coaches will be looking for consistency, not just one good session. We want to see good technique, safe partner, work, control, maturity and the ability to keep up with the pace of class
2.
3.
Speak with a coach
If you feel ready for Advanced, let one of our coaches know. They can give you honest feedback on where you are at and what you may still need to improve before stepping up.
Receive approval
Once a coach feels you are ready, they will give you the go ahead to attend. In some cases, a coach may suggest a bit more time in Gneral first, along with clear areas to focus on.
4.
