June 13
Eli stepped into the main event at Empire Fight Series for a scheduled five-round battle and wasted no time bringing the action. Both fighters came out firing, trading heavy shots and clashing in exciting exchanges. Eli kept things dangerous throughout, throwing a variety of explosive techniques and head kicks that had the potential to change the fight at any moment.
As the bout progressed, his opponent found success targeting the body and lead leg, scoring a count in round two before eventually earning a stoppage in round three. It was a courageous performance against a very strong opponent, and despite the result, Eli showed exactly why he belonged in the main event spotlight.

Sara

Sara made her debut at Muay Thai Vic this June after years of hard training, she was well overdue. Sara put on a dominant performance and troubling her opponent with heavy, well-timed hands throughout the fight. The pressure proved too much, with the towel being thrown in during the second round to give Sara a TKO victory.
Congratulations, Sara! We cannot wait to see you back in the ring soon.

CLASS STRUCTURE UPDATE
From July 13
Intermediate Class
(Previously Advanced) 6 -7:30pm
Our current Advanced Classes will now become our Intermediate Classes.
These sessions will continue to run for 90 minutes, and the structure of the class will remain the same.
Coach approval is still required to attend. Intermediate Classes are designed for members with a solid foundation of Muay Thai experience who are ready for a faster pace, more advanced techniques, and a greater training intensity than our General Classes.

Fighters Class 6 - 8pm
Our Fighters Class is a dedicated training session for active Fighters and selected members preparing to train at a competitive level (Amateur and above).
The purpose of this class is to ensure our Fighters receive the Coaching and attention they need to prepare for upcoming bouts. By keeping class numbers smaller, our Coaches can provide more individual feedback, closely monitor each fighter's progress, and deliver the highest quality preparation possible.
This class is strictly for active fighters or by Coach invitation only.
It is not an open class, regardless of skill level.
Sessions run for a compulsory 2 hours, including the clinching session.
All participants are expected to complete the entire session.
Arriving late, leaving early, or regularly missing portions of training is not permitted.
Coach invitations may be extended to Intermediate members who consistently demonstrate the right attitude, commitment, work ethic, and readiness for this level of training. An invitation is earned through consistent effort, not simply experience or ability.

Join our very own member, Bianca, as she shares practical advice on how to fuel your body for training, recovery and performance.
Topics include:
Fuel for training (including foods/meals + timing)

-Protein/ carb intake including amounts
-Hydration
-Weight management
Bianca is a qualified Accredited Practising Dietitian located at Studio 25 and is currently pursuing further education in a PhD focusing on protein digestion in older adults
As a Muay Thai and strength training enthusiast herself, Bianca understands the physical demands of training first hand. She knows what it feels like to push through hard sessions and how the right nutrition can help you perform better, recover faster and get the most out of your training. Whether your goal is to improve performance, recover more effectively or simply learn how to fuel your body with confidence.

More About Bianca
Bianca started Muay Thai 10 years ago! She thought that people who worked out were a little bit silly (can you believe that?!). She decided to give Muay Thai a try because she thought it looked really cool, and with the guidance of her first coach, Jacinta Paskalidis, she quickly fell in love with the art.
Her favourite part about Muay Thai is the confidence it has given her. Taking on something as challenging as Muay Thai has taught her that if she can make through a session, she can do anything! She loves that it challenges both the body and the mind, requiring you to learn how to move your whole body together while constantly solving new problems. Just as importantly, she treasures the incredible people she has met throughout her Muay Thai journey.
After 10 years of training, what keeps Bianca coming back is simple: it's fun! She believes there is no better feeling than working hard at something and seeing that effort pay off over time.
Outside the gym, Bianca runs her own clothing brand, loves sewing and making clothes, enjoys skateboarding, spends plenty of time drawing, and is a big fan of hip hop, especially the group Jurassic 5.
Bianca's advice for everyone is...
"Find the value in the difficulty of the experience,
not in the outcome."
She believes this applies not only to Muay Thai but to anything in life that is worth pursuing.
We are so grateful to have Bianca as part of the Strike Studio family. She brings such a warm, caring and welcoming energy to the gym and always makes those around her feel supported. Thank you for everything you contribute to our community, Bianca. We are lucky to have you!
